23 Months

One month away from 2 years old, our little boy is growing up way to fast!!!! He is really a hoot lately! He is talking away... and is able to communicate his wants and needs with us. It is amazing! He is a very strong willed young man, and certainly knows how to get what he wants from everyone...especially daddy!

He has been keeping busy lately with Nani Debbie. When mommy and daddy head off to work they have been enjoying outings to places like My Gym, where Gavin participates in a 45 minute class with other kids where they participate in different physical activities. They go to story time at the library, the bouncy place, play with play dough, sing and dance, go shopping, and more!

Gavin is in "a stage," I don't want to call it the terrible twos, but..... he certainly knows how to push mommy and daddy's buttons. He pushes his limits, and knows it. But, we are working through it. We are trying to work with him on how to appropriately play with the doggies, how to handle frustration, how to be patient, clean up his toys, and more!! He is now also trying to push bed time back further and further, by getting more books to read, asking for different things, etc. He is a smart little one!! But, he is still as sweet as can be, and really is a very emotional and caring little guy.

His appetite is amazing lately. He eats just about anything, and everything! He even likes to help us cook and prepare our meals. Funny story about eating, when Gavin and Nani go to the store, especially Harris Teeter, Gavin loves the free samples!! Every time they go to the grocery store, Gavin says "Eat!" Too funny!

If you notice, in this months picture, Gavin is supporting his dad's Steelers cap in celebration of the Steelers making it to the Superbowl!
