So, I am a little behind on keeping up with the blog, but here I go... We attended the first annual Munn Fest 2009 in Isle of the Palms from August 4th-8th. It was a great time. Ryan and Jen were such great hosts, sharing such a beautiful house with all of their friends. It was the first "fest" we have been to with baby in tow, and it was great. Gavin had a great time, and had some little friends to play with, Lily and Holden, who also seemed to enjoy themselves.
It was a very kid friendly environment, everyone was very good about being quiet when the babies were sleeping, and there was no craziness, it is so wierd to think about how much we have all grown up. Anyways, on to Gavin's beach trip. He did very well. We would venture down to the beach every morning, and last at least a couple of hours. We purchased a half dome tent for the beach, which was a pain in the butt to put up with the wind, but came in handy. We would sit under the tent with Gavin to keep him out of the direct sun. Gavin seemed to like the water a little more than the tent though. He loved hanging out in the ocean, we would sit in the little pools and he would play with his water toys and splash in the water. He also went out into the ocean with daddy (Chris holding him of course), watched the waves, and Chris would dip his toes in the waves. When he was not in the ocean, or on the beach, he was in the pool (when he was not napping).
We had a great family trip, and we want to thank the Munn family and all of the people there who made it such a great vacation!
