13 months old

We are now one month past the one year mark, and it's going great. I figured I would change the month by month posts now that Gavin is over 1 year old. You really do not need the updates on his eating, sleeping, teething, etc. From now on, I will just give you some general information about the little man.

First off, this will be the last picture in the big green chair, from now on, we will do his picture in his "Gavin" chair. It is lower to the ground, therefore less chance for casualties, since he can't sit still.

Gavin is growing like a weed, at his one year visit (which was a little bit past his 1st birthday), Gavin weighed in at 22 pounds, putting him in the 50th percentile, and 30.5 inches long, putting him in the 90th percentile for height, hmmm... will Gavin be taller then mommy and daddy??? Hopefully!

Gavin is doing so many fun things, it seems like he learns something new every day. He throws a ball, hits a ball off of a tee, drives his four wheeler on his own, does things you ask him to do (sometimes), tells you what he wants by pointing and "yelling," and so much more.

Mr. Gavin has certainly developed a personality of his own. He knows what he wants, and he will do what he needs to do to get it. Lately, he yells, screams, and..... throws tantrums, yes, full blown temper tantrums. For example, lst week, Gavin wanted to ride his four-wheeler outside, but it was late, and it was time for dinner. Well, he was not too happy, and started screaming, we tried to console him, but he was to upset. So, we set him down on the living room floor, cleared everything out of the way so he would not injure himself, and he proceeded to roll around and scream for 20 minutes. You are probably thinking, wow, I can't believe they allowed him to scream for that long. Well, we did try to console him, but again, he wanted no part of it. So, like the books say, we ignored the temper tantrum. We have seen two of these so far, but they seem to be getting better by the ignoring.
